The Random Generated Text Project

The massive Random Generated Text Project (RGTP) is a labour of pure love and deep philosophical wonder. It requires no expertise or special knowledge, only an openness to a new experience of reading – and to a new experience of meaning itself. It’s like discovering you can breathe under water.

The three volumes of the RGTP, along with copious notes and a massive Archive of material, were left with Michael Caplan at Gilles' passing on Feb. 25, 2026, to be edited and published over time by House of ShAkE. 

Volumes 2 and 3, Althea Frutex and Sproutings from the Garden of Kallikantzaros, will follow in time.

A chapbook of "sproutings" from Vol. 3, “We gazed lustily” is now available in a limited run of 25 numbered copies.
